Atalaya means watchtower: the high place built to see what others can’t yet see. We founded the studio on that idea: that the right vantage, and the right light, can make a property impossible to look away from.

Atalaya Pictures is a founder-led studio working the Costa del Sol. We keep the team small and the standard high: the same eyes on the brief, the shoot and the grade, so nothing gets lost in the handover. We shoot fewer projects, and we finish every one like it carries our name, because it does.

We build the day around the light, not the diary. Twilight and golden hour do the work that no colour grade can fake.

Fewer, better frames. We hold a shot long enough to breathe, so the film feels expensive rather than busy.

Colour, sound and pace, refined until the work sits beside cinema, not content. That is the whole point.

From the marble hills above Marbella to the marina glow of Puerto Banús, the long beaches of Estepona, the mountain silence of Benahavís, the fairways of Sotogrande and the cliffs of Ronda: this is home ground. We know where the sun lands at seven, which terraces hold the view, and how the sea changes the colour of a façade. That knowledge is half the film.
